The old generation of analogue explosion-proof CCTV systems was born a long time ago, so many years have passed, security technology is changing rapidly, the outdated analogue CCTV needs to be updated to use high-definition surveillance video in order to ensure safe production.
Here are a few steps needed to upgrade an analogue explosion-proof CCTV systems using coaxial cable to a more modern system.
-
Assess the Existing System
Inventory current equipment, including existing cameras, coaxial cables, monitors, and recording equipment.
Evaluate performance . Identify limitations of the current system, such as resolution, distance limitations, and lack of advanced features.
Evaluate the difficulty of retrofitting coaxial cables.
-
Define Upgrade Goals
Identify the goals for the improvements you want. Examples include the need for higher resolution, better image quality, remote access or enhanced analysis capabilities.
After market research, set a budget for the upgrade, including equipment and installation costs.
-
Select New Components
Choose the explosion-proof cameras that meet your needs, whether IP or HD analogue.
If you wish to retain the coaxial infrastructure, you can use IP OVER COAX CONVERTER video encoders to convert the analogue signal to a digital format.
If you opt for a fully digital system, invest in a network video recorder (NVR) that supports IP cameras.
-
Installation
The equipment must be checked for normal operation before installation.
-
Configure and Test the System
Set the IP addresses and network settings for the NVR and cameras.
Test all components to ensure proper operation, including camera feeds, recording capabilities, and remote access.
